All
Day Options
Families who desire a
longer day for their kindergarten students may pursue two options:
1.
Full
Day Kindergarten
The
Full Day Kindergarten program is tuition-based and is in session for 6.5 hours during regular school hours
from 9:10 a.m. to 3:25 p.m. An enrichment curriculum is taught by a
licensed teacher. Full Day K is not available at every school, but is
offered where there is sufficient parent demand. Students may enroll in
Full Day K at a district school outside their attendance area.
Tuition
pays for the portion of the school day that is not funded by the
state. Tuition for the full day session is $3275 for the 2011-12 school year and is billed at
$350 per month for 9 months. A non-refundable deposit of $125, submitted
with the contract, is applied to the program tuition. (Deposit will be
refunded if student is not selected for placement through lottery or
wait list process.)
2012-2013
School Year
Please see links at left for Full Day K
application process and contract. Application process includes
lottery. Application deadline for lottery is 3:30 PM on

Extended
Kindergarten Day
Extended
Kindergarten Day is a fee-based program offered through the district's
Lake Oswego Extended Day program, and is available at all district
elementary schools.
The
Extended Kindergarten Day program has been designed to offer follow-up
and practice lessons to curriculum being taught in the regular
classroom.
Parents
pay an hourly rate for their student's participation in the program.
